Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how EIC Agency handles information through the EIC Finance Assistant, a private internal application that connects to QuickBooks Online. “Application” means the EIC Finance Assistant and its supporting services.
1. Scope and users
The Application is intended solely for authorized EIC Agency personnel and is not offered for public registration, consumer use, or use by unrelated businesses.
2. Information the Application processes
- QuickBooks company identifiers and connection status.
- OAuth access and refresh tokens supplied by Intuit after an authorized administrator approves the connection.
- QuickBooks accounting information requested for internal reporting, including company details, accounts, customers, vendors, invoices, payments, bills, expenses, and financial reports.
- Limited operational and security logs needed to maintain and protect the Application.
The Application does not request QuickBooks passwords, bank-login credentials, or multi-factor authentication codes.
3. How information is used
Information is used only to authenticate the authorized QuickBooks connection, produce internal financial reports and analysis, monitor connection reliability, secure the Application, and comply with applicable legal obligations. The current EIC deployment is restricted to read-only reporting workflows.
4. Sharing and sale of information
EIC Agency does not sell QuickBooks data or use it for third-party advertising. Information may be processed by Intuit to operate QuickBooks Online and by infrastructure providers that host or secure the Application. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or to protect the rights and security of EIC Agency, its personnel, or others.
5. Storage, security, and retention
The Application uses HTTPS, state validation for OAuth authorization, restricted server access, and encrypted token storage. QuickBooks connection credentials are retained only while the internal connection is needed. They are revoked or deleted when the connection is intentionally terminated, subject to limited backup or legal-retention requirements. Operational logs are retained only as reasonably necessary for security and troubleshooting.
6. Choices and access
An authorized QuickBooks administrator may disconnect the Application through QuickBooks Online. Authorized EIC personnel may request access, correction, or deletion of information associated with the internal connection by contacting EIC Agency.
7. Children
The Application is a business tool and is not directed to children under 13. EIC Agency does not knowingly collect children’s personal information through the Application.
8. International processing
The Application is hosted in the United States. Information may be processed in the United States and other locations where Intuit or approved infrastructure providers operate.
9. Changes
EIC Agency may update this policy as the Application or applicable requirements change. The effective date above will be updated when material revisions are published.
